Made in Malaysia, our Bakeway Dark Cocoa Powder is darker than regular cocoa powder as it has been Dutch-processed to remove its acidity. Its flavour is mellow and not bitter. This product is also known as Black Onyx Cocoa Powder or Black Cocoa Powder and is available in packets of 250g, 1kg and 5kg.
How to use
As this dark cocoa powder has no acid in it, it is advisable to use baking powder with it and not baking soda to help with any leavening needs. Use according to your recipe and do not substitute with cocoa powder unless directed by your recipe as regular cocoa powder will yield a very different taste. Create ultra black chocolatey bakes like the Oreo cookie or even scary black bakes for Halloween.
